If the process supports unscheduled events, an unscheduled event can be registered from a specific site. The forms that should be answered when an unscheduled event is registered have to be pre-defined in the process. Here you will have to select which forms need to be filled out each time an unscheduled event is reported (mandatory) and which forms are optional.
To register an unscheduled visit event:
- Go to Sites > [Site Name].
- Click on the
icon in the actions column of the subject you want to register an unscheduled visit event for.
- Choose if you want to fill out any of the Optional Forms, or proceed with the Mandatory Forms, for more information about Optional forms, see Unscheduled Events. The name(s) of mandatory forms are greyed out and can not be deselected.
- Fill out the form(s) associated with unscheduled events (previously specified in the process setup).
- Click Save/Save and continue. The unscheduled event will appear as a grey bar before the next inactive/unused data event.
The grey bar is placed automatically and cannot be moved. To see the actual time that the unscheduled event occurred, you can click on the data event from where you can see the registration time and access the unscheduled form that was filled out.
The action button which you can click on to register an unscheduled event is only available if unscheduled events have been enabled in the process setup during the building phase of your study. Read more about how to make changes to your study setup during the data collection phase in our Study Amendment article.
